Re: [xl7] pattern play and rechannelisation - questions I didn?t find an answer to

2002-08-08 by erik_magrini@Baxter.com

1. While playing a pattern: Can you dial in a new pattern and start
it on the fly (without stopping the sequencer) before the current one
has finished?

>>>Nope. <<<

2. While playing a sequence of patterns: Can you program a pattern in a
way you would start it not from the first bar but - say - bar 2, 3... or
whatever?

>>>Nope. <<<

3. If I arranged a pattern that that has tracks containing notes for
several midichannels (multi A): Can I copy one of these tracks to
another pattern (maybe with certain rechannelisation settings) and
flawlessly (?) have the channels remapped and split up to
their "belonging" tracks: notes of Channel 1 to track 1, notes of
channel 2 to track 2...

>>>Nope. You'd need to copy that multi channel track to all your tracks,
and delete the data for the channels you didn't want assigned to that
track manually. Probably easiest to use a computer sequencer to "Explode"
your channels to seperate tracks, than download back into the XX-7. <<<
