Re: [xl7] New rEalm tunes up

2002-08-22 by erik_magrini@Baxter.com

Thanx for listening Som! Yeah, I'm pretty happy with that bassline, by
far the best one I've managed to come up with to date. The whole
orchestral thing in the beginning and end just happened by mistake more or
less, I was just messing around and it sounded cool. Drums were all from
Reason2, using my own samples (some of which are from the XL-7, HH's
mainly). The bassline was Junglist VSTi.

Rivulets was done in a couple days in Reason 2 as a joke for my techno DJ
friends, but it turned out pretty good I think.

Hello Realm,

Listened to your two new tracks. Really, really like the bassline in
'Ion' and 'Rivulets' is a lot of fun. Very good overall quality of sound
in there. Thanks for pointing me to your tunes,

best,
Som

"Ion" - More break beat fun, cool bassline too. Oh and a flute! Still
needs to have a better mixing job done though, so hopefully it'll be
finalized by this weekend.

"Rivulets" - A techno tune I did initially as a joke for my DJ friends,
then I got to like it. Lots of bass that adds to this one, so don't
bother if you've only got laptop speakers :)
