yup. just as i imagined. only 64 voices (including whatever samples you use). c'mon Roland.....MORE POWER!! a few of you may remember, i've had extremely bad vibes from Roland after my XP-50 experience, but i was recently in the market for a new sampler. not anxious to spend $1,300 on an akai Z4, i realized the PERFECT machine for my application would be the Roland CDX-1. so i decided to lift my Roland boycott and give 'em another shot. i messed around with it for awhile at Mars and after days of research, decided order one. well, i open up my new toy, plug in my 7506 headphones and....."BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ" a nasty high pitched squealing noise was ALWAYS present on the left headphone channel. this boosted my concerns even further about purchasing another Roland product. but really the CDX-1 was best suited for my needs, so i ordered another. this one works fine (so far) and seems much more user-friendly than some of the current Roland gear i've recently tinkered with. so, here's to hoping i've made a good call with the CDX-1 purchase. anybody else use one of these bitches? i'm thinking the XL-7 and CDX-1 will be a perfect marriage for creativity (whilst simultaneously stomping an MC909's dick in the dirt). please don't let me down (again), Roland. --- In xl7@y..., "hhceo" <hhceo@y...> wrote: > the only thing it has on the XX-7 is the large screen and sampling. > Anybody know the price on the beast...
