Yeah, I brought this up a few weeks ago too, it's designed that way according to Aaron. Here's a quote: "> However, sometimes when you go back to Song Mode, the current > pattern for that step will loop once, instead of switching to > the next pattern when it's done playing. > Is this normal, or a bug? It's normal. Tha pattern plays till the end, loops to the beginning, picking up the song at the beginning of the switched out pattern. For example, if your song has Pattern A at bar 1, B at 5 and C at 9, ending at 13, if you switch into pattern mode at bar 7, pattern B will loop indefinitely. When you switch back to song mode, pattern B will play till its loop point, then the song will pick up at BAR 5 (not 9). This is intentional. If you had linear song track notes, it's presumed that you wouldn't want them skipped, so it ensures that they get played." rEalm Maybe this isn't an OS request per se, but mor of a clarification. When I'm in song mode, I'm constantly going in and out of edit mode (step and realtime) - Many times, I'll switch between the two modes, and then turn off the sequencer to do some tweaking. Then I'll play the sing (from where I stop) and it actually just loops the pattern instead of going to the next step in the song. Sometimes I get frustrated, stopping the sequencer, and going back to 01.01.001... THen I have to fast forward to where I was. It would be cool if you could easily punch in and out of record mode in song mode. I find myself playing the song and going "OH I need to change that" and spinning the dial back 2 measures, doing a step edit and maybe a realtime edit, and then returning to my "listening" mode. Any thoughts? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Aaron Eppolito" <synthesis77@...> To: <xl7@yahoogroups.com> Sent: Tuesday, December 10, 2002 9:18 PM Subject: Re: [xl7] YET Another OS request > --- David DeciBel <spec@...> wrote: > > When you go to global->Effect Routing it defualts to > > the channel/track you are currently on/editing. > > I love little things like this that make life easier. > > Done. > > -Aaron > > __________________________________________________ > Do you Yahoo!? > Yahoo!
