That's how I would do it, give each it's own port. Inside Cubase, you select a midi track and choose the Midi In port you wish to use (Karma or XL-7), and then you choose the Midi Out port you want too. If you activate the preview icon, you can now play the Karam and have it sounds the XL-7 (on whatever channel your Cubase track is set to). Set the Track channel to All in Cubase to use all1 6 channels in the XL-7. Yes, the XL-7 can have multiple sources giving it commands. rEalm Would it be better to seperate the two pieces of hardware and dedicate each to its own channel on the 2x2?
