Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

That's how I would do it, give each it's own port.  Inside Cubase, you 
select a midi track and choose the Midi In port you wish to use (Karma or 
XL-7), and then you choose the Midi Out port you want too.  If you 
activate the preview icon, you can now play the Karam and have it sounds 
the XL-7 (on whatever channel your Cubase track is set to).  Set the Track 
channel to All in Cubase to use all1 6 channels in the XL-7.  Yes, the 
XL-7 can have multiple sources giving it commands.

Would it be better to seperate the two pieces of hardware and 
dedicate each to its own channel on the 2x2? Can the XL7 have 
multiple sources giving it commands?
