First I think people are confusing your external drum pad controller with
the pads on the XX-7.  That's why all the questions and doubt about how you
are doing this.

Second you can record multiple channels to a single track by setting the
track to one of the "multi" assignments. (MultiA/MultiB).

Unfortunately there is no simple way to separate a multichannel track into
new tracks with one channel of information per track.  You can though use
the selective note range in the edit commands to accomplish the same thing
in this case (cut all kick notes to track one, snares to track 2 and so on).

This of course can be done without having done the multichannel recording in
the first place.

Unfortunately there is no way to record on two or more tracks.  Hopefully
E-mu will create some easy solution or alternative in a subsequent OS
release.
