Yes. You connect a midi cable from the midi output on the XL-7 to the
midi input on the virus. Then you'd need to set the track you you want to
use to control the virus to EXT (external) so that it doesn't play it's
internal sound on that channel. If you wanted to use the Virus keyboard
to play your notes, you could do that too, and connect a midi cable from
the Virus midi out to the XL-7 midi in. The XL-7 is very flexible when it
comes to sequencing external gear.
