Subject: [xl7] Emu staff + this group = a beautiful thing
I just realized a bug was just fixed because *one person* mentioned
it... I was too surprised to really think much of it at first, but
after further reflection I thought of something. The fact that the
Emu staff not only monitor this group, but *listen and react* to the
people who use their product is both a rarity and a valuable
commodity in this business.
I can't tell you the number of times that support has been either
weak or completely lacking for various gear I have owned.. I'm sure
we've all experienced that. Sometimes you're lucky to even get
repairs or questions answered. To have a situation like we have here
is, well.. a beautiful thing :)
Thank you Aaron (and any other Emu staffers who might be here - I'm
too new to know who's who). This type of support shows that you're
trying to make *instruments* for people who PLAY MUSIC... not pound
out some groovebox toy crap for the quick bucks and move on the the
next cash cow. If this is the way you support all your products then
you've just gained a loyal customer :)
Thanks also to the members of this group for being ever-helpful, and
Realm for giving us all a place to come together. I joined here
before I ever actually *had* my xl-7, and I'm damn glad I did. It
looks like this will actually be a useful and interesting group to be
a part of...
Ok, cheesiness is over, go play some music :)
