Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

I have a HOSA FSC-501, that I have setup in the controller section 
as start/stop sequncer, and when I press it down once, nothing 
happens, but step on it again, and the sequencer starts.  Is this 
the right foot switch for this function?  Also which one do I use 
for tap tempo?
