Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

I've >never< had any synch problems with the two - not one. 

I can press start and stop on either machine. I also have a Live running on a laptop synched off the second emu port, and that's never had any synch problems either. 

I'm not sure what gear you are using that can't synch well, but it's not this pair.
