on the upside, the SP-808 can easily be upgraded to the EX version, incl new effects. There is also a .wav conversion program for those with a Zip in there computer. <(I've done those) Many users have been putting in 750MB Zip drives lately. <(havent done that yet) on the downside, its a Roland product, so there is NO official support for it. The manuals are hard to come by, and I hear they were beastly at best anyway. There is a video manual for the original 808 that is readily available and is pretty good.
