You need to go to the transport menu in SX, then Synchronization. From here, select the MIDI port your MP-7 is connected to in the "Midi Clock" box. Then make sure the MP-7 is set to "accept ext start/stop" and that the tempo is set to 000 (ext). BTW, Reason is most definitely not for kids. If could only bring one app with me on a desert island, that would be the one. That's like saying the MP-7 is a toy because it's a 'groovebox'. rEalm Question about MP7 with Cubase SX. how can i push play on the transport bar in cubase SX and have the MP7 sync to the sequencer in Cubase? mainly i just want to record in realtime some of my drum sequences without having to import midi files through e-loader which takes too long to mess with. so if i had SX set to loop 5 bars, and i had MP7 (pattern) set to loop 5 bars, then wouldn't that make sense for them to work together? is this possible? i would have all the same channels (and presets) in the machine assigned to channels in cubase and i would like to be able to record in realtime, directly from the machine into cubase. basically i keep thinking of steinberg's reason and how it works with programs in slave mode. i think reason is for kids, but i like the idea of how it syncs with programs easily. am i missing something in the manual? thanks for any replies...
