Thanks a lot. I understand what you've written here but it seems 
like more of a workaround than the intended way to deal with multis. 
In other words, it seems like there should be an easy way to send a 
program change from a sequencer to an XL-7 that triggers a 
multisetup load. Is there really no other way but this internal 
trigger you described?

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
