Also to expand on what Aaron said, if you use the Sub1 Outs as external
sends, they bypass the effects. You can't have something going to the
effects and out of the unit, it's one or the other from what I understand.

Subject: [xl7] Audio routing and "hello"
Hey,
I just picked up an XL-7 and it does seem like a vast box compared to the
Roland MC-307 it's replacing. One of the main reasons I purchased it is
due
to its audio routing capabilities, but boy does the manual seem obtuse!
I've
upgraded the OS to v2, and gone through the manual and archives but I
can't
seem to figure out how to route audio to sub1. All I want to do is keep
my
drum tracks (1-8) in the main out and send the rest of the tracks to sub1
(after
the internal effects if that's possible). I used to do this all the time
with my
Ensonic TS-10 (boy was that a joy to work with! E-MU, can you hear me?
Learn from that elegant OS!) but I just spent an hour with the XL-7 manual
and
I could't seem to make it happen.
Thanks,
Mark Sottilaro
