mp7 midi problem with mpc

mp7 midi problem with mpc

2004-01-06 by wkiw

hello
i like to use my mp7 to control my mpc and use the nice grid mode
to lay down nice drum patterns.
the grid mode gives me the ability to really make some thick drums.
the problem is when i have the midi going
i have to turn down the sounds on the mp7 or they play.
and when im done doing midi and want to play say a bass sound the
mp7 still plays the mpc drums.
 for example
say i have midi tracks on 1,2,3,4
and on 5 i want to play bass, well i can hear the bass and i can tap
it in but after if records one time through it plays drums back
instead of bass.
this is really crazy and i have read the manual but to no avail.
does anyone know how i can fix this?
thanks alot.

Go into the Pattern Edit menu, and on the second to last screen, set the
DEST to "Int", save the Pattern. Now that track will always play JUST the
bass sound.

Repair Question

2004-01-07 by patrick a thomas

Hey guys, I have a quick repair question. My 1st button in the command
function area of my MP-7 has sunk on the bottom. It must have happened the
last time it was gigged or transported. Anyway, it still works but I have
to press on it at the right angle to get it to do so. So frustrating. I
was wondering if anyone has had this problem and how did you repair it.
Thanks guys. This really is a great group!

Have you tried opening up the case and seeing if it's stuck? Short of
that working, the only option is probably going to be sending it in for
repairs.
