Turn off initial values?

Hi folks, thats the situation... i am playing in song mode, tweeking around with filters and volumes, the pattern changes and the controllers jump back to the position, as programmed in the pattern. sounds pretty ugly, you imagine. is there a way to avoid this jump back to the initial positions?
