2 actually: - is there any way to delete a pattern, so that is says "Empty Sequence" again? - is there any way to start the XL7 with a pattern of choice after rebooting? I always want to start with an empty pattern and after creating save it in another place. Kind regards, Richard

I always want to start with an empty pattern and after creating save it in another place. >>>Only if you put it in User Bank 0, Pattern 0. I put my default "Empty Pattern" there actually, so the XL-7 always boots to a fresh start. That way if you need to reinitialize the pattern, it's easy to select a blank one. Just crank the wheel to the right hard, and it'll jump to the first pattern, in this case the empty one. Another tip: Organizing your patterns is really easy on the XL/MP-7's, since you have so many banks to choose from. For me, it's best to catagorize my patterns by genre and save them accordingly. For instance, Breaks in Bank 0, Trance in Bank 1, DnB in Bank 2, Ambient in Bank 3, etc. This is great if you play out live too, because you can change your sets predictably depending on the mood of the crowd, and you know that as long as you select the next pattern from the same bank, it'll fit together.<<< rEalm
