Sub outputs "mono" sending and Multisetup questions.

Sub outputs "mono" sending and Multisetup questions.

Hey is it possible to send an aux output (sub1 or sub2) in MONO.
The reason I ask is because if I have a 1/4" plugged into R or L of
the sub1 output and I send a preset there, then the panning on the
preset is not MONO i.e. if the cable is in the Left output then
panning to the right just attenuates the volume of the preset instead
of properly panning in mono.

Second question I have is about the Global settings,
specifically, if I have a pattern where channels 1-4 are sent to send2
(sub1) in the global menu (not preset) then what do I have to do to
have that configuration saved with the pattern. I thought that this
involved saving a different multisetup for every pattern, i think it
even says in the manual that to save global settings you have to save
the multi, but it **seems** that this is not the case....are
global sends saved along with the pattern? Also is the multisetup
used for a particular pattern saved when you save the pattern?

   Thanks in advance

                                         Drew

IE, if you're plugged into L of Sub 1, make sure the preset is panned
fully Left in the Preset edit menu. <<<

>>>Send amoutns are saved as part of the Pattern, AND as part of the
Multisetup. But I think you're getting a bit confused about what Multi's
are. Basically, a Multi will override any settings made to the Pattern.
It's global snapshot of all the XX-7's settings, including those that are
also saved as part of a pattern. They are completely independant though,
so while they can save some of the same parameters, they have nothing else
to do with each other. <<<

Yeah except that my high hat preset has AmpPan --> LFO~ because I
like the gentle movement it creates. With only one jack in the sub
output this just makes the preset get quieter and louder.

Thanks for answering all the questions about the Multis....they are a
little confusing. Obviously Pattern save saves everything under the
Pattern menu but its interesting to note that it also saves some
global data. Much less saving for me if i dont have to do a new multi
every time.

You can't pan in mono.
