Cubase and MP7

Cubase and MP7

2004-05-01 by Rick

Hello all I am a newbie at the technical aspects of recording. I
have been trying to figure out how to hear and record the MP7 in
Cubase. I have all midi connections and even the audio connections
made, hear nada.

I am running XP with an Audigy Platinum with the midi and audio
interface on the front.

Any help is appreciated.

The Audigy has 2 Midi ports in the front along with 2 aux audio
inputs. I have the Main L & R outs into the Aux in and both midi in
outs plugged as well. I was wondering if I needed a mixer to go with
my set up. Running Cubase SX2, MP7, PK6 with the audigy card. I just
want to be able to play mp7 sounds and record them into cubase live.
Is another software package more suited to actual hardware and not
just VSTis?

Make sure that you activate the monitor buttons (looks like a speaker) for
each track you're trying to record to. Also, the getting started manual
that came with SX2.0 is very good for telling you how to set up all the
tracks for recording, so you may want to revisit that. SX2.0 will
definitely do everythign you want.

if you have an audigy dont use asio monitoring, you can audition via audigy
mixer, you should hear any incoming data, you have to select line/mix in the
record channel and it should work fine
use the main or subouts of the mp7, not spdif
hope this helps
