looking into getting another ROM...need some help

2004-05-11 by Chris

I have an XL-7 which has served me well for quite a few tunes I have
put together, but I am seeking a rom with a larger selection of
synth basses and synth pads in particular. Alot of the extreme lead
basses sound so similar/quacky/techno-ish no matter how I tweak them
(which thats what it was meant for of course) but I really need some
more vintage synth basses (think depeche mode's "Construction time
again" and "black celebration" albums, those fat bouncy synth
basses). I heard the "proteus pop collection" may have what I am
seeking, but I wanted to see what you guys thought and if you can
help me out at all before I buy something I will regret. Thanks alot.

I'm happy with my Vintage Collection ROM synth basses (as well as a
host of other sounds on that ROM).

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
