PX-7 People...

2004-06-07 by Mark

Hello Group - I'm new here so bear with me...

I really like how I can playback the pre-installed sequences, and
then turn tracks on/off or change tempo to suit my needs.

What I am looking for is, are there more of these pre-made sequences
that I can buy so that I can tweak them to suit me? I am basically
using these to build drum loops and would like more....

Don't we always want more? more! more!

Thanks for your help

I've never seen any to be honest. The problem with premade patterns for
the Command Stations, is that the soudns they play will depend largely on
the ROMs installed. So except for using GM drum mapping to get some kinds
of reliability while playing drum kits, there's not much else in terms of
compatibility.

But, I will very shortly be posting all of my Patterns and Presets for
people to DL. They won't play back perfectly unless you have the PX,
World, Pop and XL-7 roms installed, but at least the midi data will all be
there if people want to play around with them.

Sounds great. Looking forward to your upload.

I have had success loading emu patterns into a sequencer and
the midi track name will give you an idea to what kind of sound is
called for. ie a bass drum sound. Sometimes I will only use the
snare and bass drum as a guide to either improvise over or
program other sounds to complement the 'guide' tracks.

I have an mp7 w/ the composer rom and have used several px7
patterns to get me started on new ideas.

Tip: check out the lexicon vortex for fx. It is very cool because you
can morph between fx, and I always use it to fatten up some of
my tracks. ;)
