O.K. Kids time to poll the group on roms choices...
I'm buying a new rom to complement my MP-7 and I've narrowed my
selection down to two. I used to have a (borrowed) p2000 and loved
the sounds of the composer rom but my question is about the sounds
of ZR rom. I do mostly hip-hop but I've never heard of this rom
before HOW DOES IT STACK UP against the composer rom.

I bought the ZR rom, for the pianos, and was pretty disapointed. I
mean, the pianos are nice, but - and this is just me - to my ears
weren't fantastic, and there are about a million variations of them.
Other bad things: a million organs, and most of them B-3 variants. No
Farfisa or wurly that I can remember. GM set - spawn of hell, as far
as I am concerned in any machine, but this one is notably bland even
for that.
What else? Not very exciting drums, some nice pads, a few nice synths.
I acutally got Emu to take it back from me, which was quite nice of
them. I ended up getting the pure phatt rom, which has about 50%
usable stuff for me, and I like the drum kits.
Suffice it to say, I just ordered a composer ROM, so now my XL7 is
full: XL7, pure phatt, world expedition and soon the composer.
Hope this helps you with your decision!
Dana
