Preset-link problem

Preset-link problem

2004-10-14 by Frodo

Hi all !

I recently tried to link two presets together, when I realized that some of
the sound configurations (like for example AmpAttack) won't work anymore. I
tried to link the 2nd sound to the first, then vice versa, but I always
won't get the preset Attack (which is quite long) of the one sound right. It
always comes in very fast if linked to the other sound ? Is it that they
both use one quick edit config if linked ? I also tried the delay feature
for linked sounds, but then the sound pops in much too fast. Can someone
help me with this ?

Greetings,

Ronald

Not sure what you're trying to do. Basically linking a preset to another
one only means that they both play at the same time, but editing is still
completely independant for each of the linked presets. They don't share
any Quick Edit features as far as I can tell.

THe problem is that, if I link both presets the long attack of the one
preset is changed to a very short one. When I play the sound alone
(not linked) it plays fine.

Any ideas ?

Re: [xl7] Preset-link problem

Initial controller amounts are picked up from the main preset,
overriding those on the linked preset. Get the two presets sounding
good with identical initial controller amounts, then link them
together. The DC cord and preset parameters are your friend in
accomplishing this...
