About Roms

First of all, I was wondering if the XL-7 would be
suitable as carry on luggage for an international
flight, b/c i don't have a hard case as of yet.

2nd of all, I was thinking about picking up an
expansion card for my XL-7. What I want is something
that cannot be emulated by software and/or just
something unique b/c I do experimental music.
Something with a mix of drums, voice, and pads would
be cool.

If there's a place I could go demo these sounds
online, let me know. But please recommend me the best
rom for the job.

Thanks for your time.

Go to the airlines web site and you can find the dimensions for carry-on
bags.
The XL-7 should be ok.

As far as sound cards, anything can be emulated by software.
If you want unique sounds your best bet is to program your own.
The XL card already has a good selection of instruments and waves to
start from.

I plan on bringing my XL-7 in my carry on next week. I don't see a problem. However, just thinking some more about it, since they make you power on notebook PCs, better bring a power cord just in case they want you to turn it on.......

I consider my Techo Synth ROM and Beat Garden ROM to fall into the category useful for experimental. I suggest some working of the presets into new sounds.

Check these for some additional info:

I travel with mine all of the time. I removed the end caps and slid
a computer case strap through the bottom.
