Question about synth sound

Question about synth sound

Much of your work has a continuous pulsating synth sound throughout
the song. It's not a bass line. Sounds like an arp or bpm type of
preset. Maybe it's some kind of modulation effect. Perhaps this is
typical for all electro dance music. I was wondering if you have any
tips or tricks for an amatuer like me as how to produce such sounds.

It's mostly just 1/16th or 1/8th arps playing bassline type sounds an
octave higher. That's the short and simple answer anyway. : I really
don't consciously think about that sort of stuff while I work, it just
sort of happens.
