change preset with a knob?

Wow, been a while since I posted here. I just got a new Korg Kaoss Pad 2 and dusted off the command station for some fun. Anyways... Question for the XX-7 experts out there... I have all my master FX settings turned off and reassigned to whatever preset is on channel 16B. I have some special presets that I made with patchcords set up to control the FX thru CCs on those presets. Then I assigned a couple of programmable knobs to control just those CCs on channel 16b. In other words, I have a separate preset for whatever FX I plan on using with whatever pattern. All I have to do is have a MultiB track with some null track data on channel 16 to make sure the 16B preset changes when I change patterns. I have all sorts of FX presets set up... (Reverb/Distortion, Gate/Delay, etc.) This lets me taylor FX to each pattern with a preset AND tweak them in realtime. (as i'm sure most of you know...) What I WANT to do is this: Assign a programmable knob (or track or whatever - something live and tweakable...) to change the preset on the 16B channel to one of my FX presets. What this would let me do is switch my FX presets in the middle of a pattern. So when I wanted to try for example some distortion on send3 or some synced delay on send3 (both FXb) I could just flip da switch. Follow? Only thing I can possibly think of involves MIDI program changes... but that's where I lose it. Sorry. Otherwise, anything new in the XX-7 world I should know about? How about where all the ROMs went... sapo
