Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

Hey, I'm a new member, but I've had my xl-7 for about half a year now. 
It's worked like a dream until very recently... It seems to randomly 
play notes, even when I'm not touching the pads or anything. The note 
it randomly plays is always the lowest keypad-thing.. the lowest c. 
Has this ever happened to anyone? Any idea how to fix it?

Maybe it's a diry contact? I never disassembled a CS before, but I
know alot of people have custom painted there own, so it can't be too
hard to do...

Yes, it sounds like the contact of that pad is bad.  Did you use that one a lot or did it just fail ?

I would try what Byron suggests but you may have to purchase a replacement pad switch.
