quick rom question from a newbie....

quick rom question from a newbie....

2005-12-18 by antret

hey folks! great message board!

im officially not a newbie since i dont own one yet, but im in the
process. here's the question. im looking for an xl-7 ideally, but
they are hard to come by nowadays, there seem to be more mp-7's
available. so, if i pick up the mp7 is there an easy way to acquire the
xl-7 rom? maybe from someone here? or do i just have to scour
the 'net for it. i just dont know whether i should wait on the xl-7 or
just pick up an mp7...... sigh....

any advice would be greatly appreciated!

thanks!

anthony

I was in a similar situation, I wanted a MP-7 but people were not trying sell at my price.
I found an XL-7 and then just pulled the ROM from a Mo'Phatt and then added the Composer ROM.
Adds up to be a nice combo.
If you have a preference for the color of the machine then go with that other wise it all adds up to the same end road.
The only tricky part is that the rack units can be had for less than the ROMs if you keep your eyes open, so if you went with a MP-7 a rack XL-1 could easily align your needs for an XL.
Or maybe you could even find a PX-7.
In either scenario it shouldn't be hard to outfit any of the units if you don't mind eBay.

I was fortunate enough to find both an MP-7 ROM and an XL-7 ROM
available on e-Bay for reasonable prices - now I have all three
Command Stations in my PX-7! :D
