Is my mp7 broken?

Is my mp7 broken?

2006-01-20 by rizzenrecordsco

What's up everybody..
I just joined the group but I have been producing for a long time.
Anyway , my partner has the mp7 which we use with other equipment to
make beats.
THe lights are ALL lit up on the machine and the first row of the
screen is filled with blocks where the words should be.
When we hit the pads there are no sounds.
How do we fix this?
THanks for any help.

Have you tried reseting the unit?

Power it off, hold both left & right arrows, and power it back up. You should get a list of
options - try resetting the memory. You'll lose your patterns & patches, but it might make
the unit useable again.

Good luck!

BEFORE YOU TRY RESETTING THE UNIT:

(1) Read this:
http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/xl7/message/17132

(2) If you are comfortable with opening up your box in such a way that
you do not damage it:
(a) try reseating all your ROMs
(b) make sure no cables came loose

Also, make sure that your power cord is the right one and fits
securely.

Good luck.
