Hello, Is the sample rate 44.1 or 48k at the digital output and is the bit depth 16 or 24? I read in a post it was 20 bit. Can anyone verify this? The owners manual doesn't say jack! Thanks so much, Brandon

The output should be 44.1, or 48KHz depending upon your choice in the preferences. I believe the bit depth is 24, unless you are playing the sampled sounds pcm which are 16 bit. I could be wrong though. Z

Hi I went through this the other day, check out the very recent post message 17544.. If you download the latest PX7 manual and has more information in it regarding this. This is where i got the info i posted. Also the firmware revisions are document in this manual so its easier to get your head around the changes that arn't in the earlier model manuals. > sampled sounds pcm which are 16 bit. Yes thats right >I believe the bit depth is 24 Just the internal effects are 24 bit... Digital out is 20 bit, so the manual says.. Thanks, I'll do that now! So does the clock on the XL-7 run at 44.1? I'm guessing it does... then record at 44.1 24 bit to get full bit resolution??? --- In xl7@yahoogroups.com, "gonzinigonz" <gonzini@...> wrote: > > Hi > I went through this the other day, check out the very recent post > message 17544.. > If you download the latest PX7 manual and has more information in it > regarding this. You can do that, but remember you will gain nothing by recording at a higher resolution with the XL-7 digitally. You could try recording the analogue outputs at 24bit, it will sound differant, better or worse.. You might well have no choice, maybe you get the choice of 16 or 24. Go for it, it should be fine Check this page out http://www.digido.com/portal/pmodule_id=11/pmdmode=fullscreen/pageadder_ page_id=27/ Gonz
