its group spam.

it has nothing to do with the XL7, other than it highlights the fact
that one needs an active moderator ...

Re: [xl7] spam

2006-06-01 by Aaron Eppolito

I've emailed both the group admin (deltamale) asking if he'll add me to the admin list and Yahoo's mail-abuse system to have them take action against their yahoo user that is both abusing the Yahoo TOS and probably federal law.

I'll keep you posted. Until then, just try and ignore Mr. Link.

spam

ok, maybe making that joke reply to the spam was a bad idea. i don't
know how these spam systems work, but it seems that my feedback has
encouraged it....

Honestly, I`m absolutely tired of the spam on this Yahoo group. I`m a big fan of the command station, 3 years using it every day, and the discussions are interesting, but I`ll be forced to unsuscribe to the group.

50% of my mail, is spam from the XL 7 yahoo group.

The spam is annoying,
though i personally am not getting much of the xl7 spam, I suspect the
google spam filters are working well...

One could always move to a new system, but there are always the
problems of list maintainers disappearing and how people know it
exists etc.

If you don't like spam, just ignore it.

2007-08-21 by steve_the_composer

Over the years I have made the following suggestion:

JUST IGNORE IT (unless you have a genuine humorous reply that will
make everyone laugh).

Honestly, it is easier to ignore one spam than 6 or 7 replies. I
really resent having to read useless diatribes against spam.

And if you really get so bent out of shape from the spam, cancel ALL
your e-mail. I cannot believe that this (or any other Yahoo group)
gets more spam than what shows up in you e-mail box.

Besides, didn't you know that spam volume correlates highly with
international conflict and the stock market? If you measure the
volume of spam, you can make far more important decisions in "playing
the market" than by complaining about the spam.

At the risk of being repetative, if you don't like spam, just ignore
it.

Thank you for your attention.
