Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

Hello.
I want to have the tempo for the songs to be set so that they are the 
same as eachother and controlled by the general tempo and tap.
There is a way to do this for pattens but I cant figure out how to 
make all the songs play the same tempo.....
Any ideas?

1. Enter Song View Mode
2. Press Song Edit button.
3. Select EVENT SOURCE menu
4. Select tempo event

You have the following choices:
--song events only
--1st pattern only
--all patterns
--songs & patterns

I believe what you want to do is create your songs with the "song 
events only setting" and have them all start with the same tempo.

Alternatively I suppose you might be able to create a 1-measure (or 1-
beat) pattern as a count off or dummy start, use that pattern as the 
first pattern in all your songs, and select "1st pattern only" as your 
tempo SOURCE EVENT.
