anyone here using Ableton Live to control your XL7? I've just started
using the program change and midi control stuff in live to control my
external gear. I've run into a weird problem with the XL7 whn I send
pan info (mid cntrl 10) I can get it to pan hard to the left but when
I got totally to the right I get silence. I don't think it is a
wiring problem cause if I use the panning knob on the XL7 it pans
fine. it also works fine with the other synth I've tried (so I don't
think it is Ableton)

any thought or suggestions would be appriciated.

Hm ...
I'm not sure what the problem might be but I think you are doing it
the wrong way.
XL7 should be the master controller I think, or at least that's the way
I'm using it with any software. It's a more convenient controller
human interface than mousing on a computer screen.
And you can actually twist more than one knob at a time....

Thanks for the suggestion but I am not doing it the wrong way. And
while I don't disagree with you that the XL7 is a more convenient
controller human interface than mousing on a computer screen; that is
not what I am doing.
