I am trying to use the Mp7 as a sound module and use the pads with my mpc. I have them connected right through midi. The problem is when I lay a track down on my mpc say track 3 I choose a Percussion from the mp-7 cool it works fine. The when I go to track 4 and choose a bass. It turns track 3 into a Bass. crazy! might be something u guys can figure out simple.

Do you have "rechannelize input to track dest" set to "on" in the MIDI
menu? That's all I can think it might be...

It is set to on is it supposed to be off.

To get multi-channel use from the MP7 as a downstream sound module from your MPC, yeah, you should set the "rechannelize" to off. What the "rechannelize" option does is change ALL incoming MIDI data to the track/channel currently selected on the MP7 display. So the drum track information gets shunted over to the bass preset you just selected.
