May I suggest you stick with factory presets. It will certainly become
difficult to manage if you also have to download custom presets as well.
Remember, you don't have to be content with the settings. You cam always
record or insert (step record or event edit) controller information (16
quick edits) in to your pattern to fine tune each preset. BTW, Mod 1 and
Mod 2 are great for quickly changing the pitch of your drum kit. Record
a full drum groove on one track, copy it to another and then the bring
the kit up an octave on the second track. You can create some really
nice layering or transitions. AMP decay, knob 6 is great for gating
effects.
Also, try turning the ARP on for certain MIDI channels and explore the
different presets that way. There are hundreds of interesting
possibilities. Many times just with in one KIT preset.
