arp question

arp question

2008-02-21 by zombilimited

hi okay just noticed when i record a pattern with an arp save it then go to a different pattern
and try a different pattern arp when i scroll back to the previous pattern my arp pattern
settings have changed???making the pattern sound wacked

now with a 505 or 303 the arp settings are recorded as per pattern with record settings...so
just wondering is it not the same with the xl-7

hope i made some sence...i cant see having to go to a pattern and scroll through and set the
arp settings everytime i play it.........and with only 60 some multisetups does this mean i can
only record 60 some patterns with arps..im a little confused and the manual did not help me

thanks in advance

Arp pattern selected is saved with the sound preset.

Not within a pattern and not within a multi.

Re: arp question revised

okay due to the lack of response let me get more specific with my question :P if i edit arp
settings within a preset bass and save it to a user sound slot i would have to remember
when using that same preset sound later with different arp settings in a different pattern
not to save over the same user sound or i will mess up the pattern in which i used the
preset sound in before....this seems a little complicated there must be an easier way my
my lackluster mc303 saved arp settings within a pattern although you couldnt create your
own sounds and save them on that.....ive read the manual please tell me

if i write a pattern and want to change the arp settings for a sound and have them show up
everytime i play the pattern from step 1 to finish how would i do it ....thanks for taking the
time..don't want to write a whole bunch of patterns to do it wrong and mess my patterns
up........thank u for your time in advance

as far as i can tell, the only way to do what you want is to copy the
preset, change the arp settings to the desired one and save it in a
new user sound slot and then use that new user preset in your new
patterns.
