Error 100

Error 100

2012-01-13 by Bruno

Hi all,

recently my MP7 started to show the message:

Error code = 100
Save failed!

and then continue to work OK. The thing is, that error does NOT appear
while I attempt to save anything. Recently the machine started with
this message - before I even managed to touch anything at all. Soon
after it asked me to compress user data - could this be the cause?

Thanks for any hints,

Bruno

I seem to remember years ago getting a mysterious error code--I think it was the failed to save--and I do seem to recall it was related to the need to compact memory or data or something. Sorry I don't remember more of the details.

I believe there is some loading and/or saving and/or accessing memory done other than when you are specifically saving patches and sequences.

If it will let you compact memory, I'd give that a try (not for everyday use). If you haven't backed up your patches and sequences recently, I'd highly recommend doing that before ompacting.

Sorry I don't have specifics, just generalized memories to call from. Hope this helps.

Steve

I've had that message - compacting should take care of it.

That's what I did. It took a bit - maybe even the promised 3 mins -
and then I didn't saw the message during that session. Next days I
will see if it was also a long term solution.

BTW: I discovered how beats work - with "busy" and "variation"
pattern. Too bad it only works with preprogrammed presets and not with
patterns...

Thanks for your answers,

Bruno
