Definitely agree. With the seeming abandonment by E-mu/Creative of support for documentation, utilities, etc. for these products -- which has apparently still not been restored -- groups like this are even more important, and I've already learned a great deal from reading what others have shared. Thank you!

Matt,

Did you ever establish a contact person?

There are still a lot of documents missing on the Ensoniq products ... for examples the manuals that went with the expansion boards or the ASR-10 'Tutorial Manual,' etc.

Hm, thanks...but I tried this just yesterday since it is how most people would look for the info, and I still got the "sorry, end of life" spiel:

Go to www.emu.com (you get redirected to another site), then select "support"

At the bottom of the page: "If your product is not listed above, please >click here<" -- which takes you to
http://support.creative.com/Products/product_list.aspx?catID=237&CatName=E-MU+%2f+Creative+Professional

Select "Musical Instruments/Synths/Command Stations" in the left-hand list, then "XL-7" in the right-hand list. You then get the "sorry, end of life" thing.

How did you navigate to the URL you posted?

On the bottom of the "Support" page is the link "For non-PC Hardware" to the right of the "If your product is not listed."

See it now, thanks. Too bad they still have the "no help" page there (and listed before the good one no less). :-)

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
