E-Loader and Windows 8

I just ran a few tests of e-loader 1.1 and windows 8. (It seems that some people have written on the internet it doesn't work.)
TEST 1: Will e-loader install?
(1) Download e-loader 1.1.
(2) Try to install it--giving it permission to change stuff when asked.
Java error messages come up; Software is not installed.
(3) Computer asked if I wanted to try compatibility mode. I said, "OK."
(4) It installed.
Installed 64 bit drivers for E-Mu's XMidi2x2 [Yes, its there--on the Creative/E-Mu site!!!]
TEST 2: Will it update OS in XL-1? (I reinstalled OS2.26): YES!!!!! (Followed usual procedures.)
TEST 3: Can I trick Windows 8 into installing the e-mu usb drivers? NO!!! ( Ever since XP SP2 or SP3 I never could get the usb drivers to work again.)
TEST 4: Will e-loader on win 8 get sequences from P2500? YES!!!!! (But as always its 6-8 times slower using midi than usb. Now, where did I put that Win98SE computer and does it still work?)
TEST 5: Will e-loader send a sequence to the P2500? YES!!!
I figured as long as I tested it, I might as well report the results.
