You can turn effects off easily enough (Global Menu -> Master Effects 
-> FX Mode -> disabled), but filters are per-note played and often have 
shape which changes over time.  So unless you're using the MP7 as a 
monosynth (or one monosynth per audio output jack I guess) you will be 
rather limited on what filter shaping you can achieve on notes 
(basically you'd end up with a paraphonic filter like the Korg Poly-800, 
at best).  I very much doubt there's a feature to "turn the filter off" 
(i.e. open the cutoff frequency to maximum and set resonance to 0) 
globally - it's hard to see why anyone would want do that, so I wouldn't 
expect EMU to put that functionality in.  I've seen nothing in the 
manual about it.
