Pads trigger by themselves randomly

Pads trigger by themselves randomly

2015-11-07 by tracemccauley@...

Hi everyone,

I have had an MP7 for about a year and love it but it has been developing a problem over the past couple months. The pads will randomly fire as if they are being pressed. At first it was only one hit every few minutes but now it has gotten so bad that it is completely unusable. I tried disassembly the pad board and giving it a light cleaning to no avail. Nothing seems visibly damaged inside or out. Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this or should I just start looking for a replacement machine?

Thanks,
Trace

could be noise on the connector. try removing the cable, cleaning the contacts and reseating it.
