Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

I was just checking out the Emu website and saw the rebate on the XL-7's. 
Am I correct in that this means purchasing in July will get you an Xl-7 
for $799, plus a free P2500 rom?

Thanx, my girlfriend is thinking of getting one, but she wants the P2000 
Rom sounds more than the Electronica sounds.  Is Emu doing a Pop Command 
Station by any chance?

The $200 rebate (US authorized dealers only) can not be combined with
any other offer. You (July 2002 purchaser) have a choice for the month
of July, $200 rebate or free P2500 ROM.

I believe it's in development, but they've run into a serious hitch
with the product design.

They can't decide what colour it should be.

In the meantime, your best bet is probably the Proteus 2500.

Nah, it's for my girlfriend if she decides to get one. 

My XL-7 is off getting the final step done to it for the "new rEalm paint 
job".  It's been in pieces for a week, I miss it :(  Oh well, hopefully by 
next Monday it'll all be assembled again and ready to play (in much more 
appealling color/s)!

I hope you will post new pictures of it.

Sean, I thought the free P2500 ROM is only good outside of North 
America. So is there really a choice in the US?

I bought an MP-7 in the US at the end of June. Am I completely out of 
luck for either promotion?

Well, out of luck except for having a brand new MP-7!!!

Good point. Yes this promotion is not valid in North America, but I bet
if you purchase your XL-7 in the month of July and would rather get a
ROM instead of $200, E-MU would oblige.
