...it looks like I'm gonna get myself a new toy, a XX-7 with a couple expansion boards. The question is: wich one to get to have the best TR-808 kit (Roland SR-JV80 boards just don't - unfortunately), some decent Piano, mellow Rhodes, and nasty analog like strings, leads and basses? :) Sebastien, future owner.

The XL-7 will cover you well for all but the piano (it does have a "techno" piano, but you're not going to be playing Rachmaninoff on it) and the Rhodes. Either the Pop ROM (which may or may not come free, check your dealer) or the ZR-76 ROM will give you piano and EPs. Fortunately, Musician Gears just updated their prices: the XX-7 is now 865 Euros! http://www.musicians-gear.com/ No free pop ROM for that price, I'm afraid. Anyway, I'm ordering mine tonight, with bag and lights. :) > Welcome in advance to Command Station ownership! Thanks again!

is anyone of you interested in exchanging / collecting usersounds ? i?m also a member of the waldorf-synth userforum. they?ve just finished the 3rd microwave soundset with 256 user sounds. perhaps we can do the same for the xl7. let?s say one bank with 128 sounds and a few user arpeggios. alexander (glad that nothing terrible has happened today) __________________________________________________________________ Gesendet von Yahoo! The P2500 Rom will do everything but the 808 kit. I like it a lot, good
acoustic drum sounds too

Yeah, but they're probably not in the same tone locations, wouldn't work.
