I have bean messing about with soundiver and MP7 for the last few
days using the proteus 2000 patch and here's progress report number 1.
1.Don,t ask sd to upload patches rom names etc
2.Make sure 1st slot in bank 0 is not important 2u as this will act
as an edit buffer.
3.Select preset u wan't to edit on xl7 2xclick on user presets 00 in
SD
bings up preset overview, click again to reach edit window. This will
give u access to "most" functions of XL7 however u will have to
manually
select rom waveforms from the synth itself(same with preset layer
chords and some filter 's etc),otherwise having access to patch mod
window,envelopes.lfo's etc is dam handy.
Thats about it remember to manually save preset on synth and that u
can name patches from inside SD.
PS use at ur own risk I have noticed some strange goings on in some
patches(random filter jumps etc)Hope this is helpfull and if EMU
tech's stop sucking their thumbs and send the sysex doc's to Emagic
we may have a legit adaptation(I believe they have an MP7 unused and
in need of some much loved computer communication :( )
