Contest Cheating and the official website is up

Contest Cheating and the official website is up

Actually the winner will get a gold star to place next to their name on
the classroom chalkboard, so there is some motivation to cheat :)

You hit the nail on the head though, there's nothing to be gained by
cheating, so why bother? I'm really hoping that we got a lot of people to
enter, this should be a pretty fun contest. Plus, the deadline is far
enough away (and after the holiday) that there's really no reason NOT to
participate. I've already had one person email me for the upload
instructions!

We've done numerous contests on the mc505 list, and they're always a lot
of fun, and a great learning experience. Plus, you get to hear what all
your fellow listmembers are doing on the same gear, which is always good
for some new ideas or inspiration. BTW, the site just went live if anyone
wants to check it out. All of the rules are also posted there, so double
check them before you email me for upload instructions:

With no prize, there is little motivation for anyone to cheat.

Given the amount of people cheating on Counter-Strike servers, even
though there is absolutely *nothing* to be gained except pissing off
other gamers and being called funny names (mmmh... maybe that's
something exciting for some weirdos after all), I would'nt be surprised
if someone tried just for the sake of winning. Or am I desperately
pessimistic? :)

Anyway, in all seriousness I'll try to post a tune (if something decent
comes up), without cheating obviously.

What happened to the song that was already there, yesterday
("the floating sun")? Premature posting? :)
