Kaoss

2002-12-03 by erik_magrini@Baxter.com

I played with one of those Kaoss 2 pads over the weekend, it's a huge
improvement on the orginal for sure! I thought it was a very sharp
looking unit (one of the coolest looking boxes I've seen), and the sound
quality was great too, made me change my mind about this little unit!

I run my MP-7 through a KAOSS Pad 2. If you guys haven't had the chance
to,
go play with one then ask Santa to throw one in your stocking (It should
fit just
fine)
I also use a Line 6 POD as an effect send for distortion FX from my Mixer.

Are you talking about the KM-2 Kaoss Mixer (as opposed to the Mk. II
Kaoss)? If so, I agree.. The original Kaoss is quite fun, but the S/N
is pretty bad and the build quality is rather cheap. The Kaoss Mixer
sounds a lot better, and doubles as a versatile DJ mixer as well,
great for live performance and mixing.

I was referring to the new (Kaoss 2) stand alone unit, not the one
integrated with the DJ Mixer.

OK, that's why I was asking; I have the mixer. I believe the Kaoss 2
has MIDI; the mixer doesn't (FWIW).
