You can store 1024 patterns and 512 songs. Cheers, -Aaron PS. There are 16 multichannel tracks (16 channels each) in pattern mode plus an additional linear song track with another 16 channels. Maybe this is what you heard? __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Mail Plus - Powerful. Affordable. Sign up now. http://mailplus.yahoo.com

I just emailed the webmaster indicating the error and offering to fix the specifications. -Aaron __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Mail Plus - Powerful. There is nothing "incorrect" about the stats at on the sos site: "Presets (synth patches): 512 User, 512 ROM memories. . Patterns: up to 16 tracks and 32 bars; 8 x 128 memories. . Sequencer: 16 Pattern tracks and one Song track; 384ppqn resolution; Song, Pattern, and Grid modes; max Song length 999 bars; 300,000-note record capacity; SMF types 0 and 1 import/export via MIDI using supplied Emu E-Loader software." BUT what is *missing* is a reference to the *fact* that the Command Stations can hold in memory: 4 banks of 128 (equals 512 user memory slots for SONGS) Remember 2 things: 1. no matter how many memory slots you have for songs, you have a limit of 300,000 notes in total. So you may not be able to fill all those slots if you have long songs. 2. The reference to the "one Song track" is that you can have 16 different tracks running different patterns all the while you have a separate track running a long single "song" sequence. This is cool. Think of it this way. You create a 16 bar pattern and let it roll over and over all the while you record a long synth line or solo that lasts for the whole length of your song (say 1024 bars). That long sequence is your "one Song track" then you go back and start creating new patterns to create changes and break up the monotony of that single 16 bar pattern you were riffing on. Then you sequence a real "Song" using those many pattern tracks together with the long "one Song track" Altogether you can save the group as a "Song" and if you don't use too much notes, you might save up to 512 like that. Go buy one new at a good store with a "no questions asked" return policy, save the box, be nice to the unit and the packing material (don't fill out the warranty card :) , and try it out. If it doesn't do what you want, pack it up and take it back. Ravi

You're misunderstanding. It says "16 Pattern tracks, One Sone track". That is saying that the main sequencer has 16 tracks and there is an additional Song track that holds all the data(realtime, mixer, etc) for the entire Song. You can indeed store 512 of these. Plus, you can actually sequence 64 tracks, not 16. You have 16 Internal A, 16 Internal B, 16 External A, and 16 External B. It's probably just E-mu's weird naming convention that threw you off. Hope that helps. > CAN SOMEONE CLEAR THIS UP PLEASE So your telling me that i can seq 512
