Volume in Mixer view

Volume in Mixer view

2002-12-12 by erik_magrini@Baxter.com

Played with this some more last night and I'm convinced it's a bug.
Happens repeatably, though not every time. If you change the volume via
the Mixer view and use the data wheel, it doesn't always save that new
value. Only about 1 in 3 times does it work correctly.

i've had that happen before. Sometimes there are little querky things
like
this that happen.. Go figure.

Yes, this is probably a bug. I actually found it and fixed it (if it's
the same problem you're having) a couple weeks ago. It'll be in 2.0.
The symptom of the bug I fixed is as follows: if you hit stop x3 after
changing a volume, pan, preset, arp, or mix setting, it will reset the
value *if the last selected pattern didn't have the same setting*.
Yeah, wierd, I know. For example: on pattern A with trk 1 having
volume 74, switch to pattern B with volume 100, change volume, RTZ, it
would reset to 100.

If it's not that, it could also be that you have a volume event at tick
1, so check the list editor. Or it could be that you are changing the
value of an "ext" track, in which case it won't save internal volume
settings.

That's exactly what I'm getting.

That's exactly the bug I was talking about, thanx Aaron. I was trying to
make all tracks across 6 successive patterns have the same volume, so you
nailed it.
