The Contest Results

2003-01-27 by erik_magrini@Baxter.com

Ok, I just wanted to take a minute to say thanx to everyone that
participated in the first ever Command Station contest, I hope everyone
had fun and learned some more about our XX-7's. Unfortunately, my email
account here at work suffered some sort of mishap over the weekend, so all
of my saved emails telling me who wrote what track were deleted, along
with the comments I had written about each tune after a thorough listen.
:( So I hope the people that wrote tracks can just let the list know
which tunes are theirs. Without further adieu, here's the results:

1st Place:
"Composite Blue" - rEalm

2nd Place (tie):
"El Verano Comlicado"
"How Things Crack"
"Quantum Foam"

3rd Place (tie):
"Drop n' Change"
"Lumanescent" - rEalm

I hope no one takes these results too seriously, this was really all about
having fun, so don't be bummed out if you don't see your track listed
above. I also want to thank everyone that took the time to listen and
vote as well, nice to see that we got SOOOO many downloads during the
contest time.

Thanx rEalm for organising the contest.
My son Chris (AKA ZerohertZ) was responsible for Drop n' Change, pretty
good song considering he's only 16 and has been using
the MP7 for 12 months. Can't give you any production notes just yet coz
I'm still waiting for him to write some !
I liked all the songs and I'm gonna burn them to disc for future
listening pleasure, so thanx to everyone for sending the songs in.

Rick
