sending arps to external gear

2003-02-12 by mikexl7 <curiousproductions@rogers.com>

Is there an easy way to get a master arp to send to external only?
I set it to external and it will not send. I set it to both and it
sends. Go figure. In the end i can get it to work this way but it
is a pain in the booty.

Can some one here spell this one out for me I am getting kinda
frustrated with this problem.

Please and thanks

Not to my knowledge so far...I always had issues with it, so just gave up
eventually. Too much paperwork just to get a simple arp.

I discussed this topic in length with drk recently. Just have a look
in the archives around dec 5th. There is a bunch of messages about
this. The solution pointed by drk works, I just can't remember it
exactly now. If you have any problems, ask me. I've spent some hours
dealing with this. As said, it's a pain in the booty for a simple
arp...

Cheers

Sergio

As has been noted before, it's only possible to arpeggiate to MIDI out
if there's also a route to an actual preset. This makes sense for
preset-level arpeggiation (so you have to use a silent preset); it
also appears to be true for master arpeggiation, although I'm not sure
why.
